    1879 Company founded by Ine Kurihara, textile production business begins.
    1918Kurihara Boshoku Gomei Kaisha established. English style wool top facilities for textile production set up.
    1923Factories completely destroyed on the day of completion by the Great Kanto Earthquake.
    1936Kurihara Keori Co., Ltd. established. Manufacturing of woolen textiles begins at a factory located in present-day Inazawa-shi, Aichi.
    1941Established (Former) Daido Worsted Mills, Ltd. upon merger with Kansai Wool Weaving Co. Ltd. Integrated production system from fabric to textile established.
    1949Restarted as Daidoh Worsted Mills Co. Ltd upon re-organization through corporate reconstructing.
    1950Sales of men's textile "MILLIONTEX" began. Shares listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
    1953Construction of the Odawara spinning factory. Exports to U.S.A. begins.
    1960Puppy Wool Co. Ltd. established. (Name changed to Puppy Co. Ltd. in 1962, absorbed through merger by Jardin Co., Ltd., in 2006.)
    1964New Yorker Inc. established. Productions and sales of clothing begins.
    1965 Milliontex Co. Ltd. established. Sales department of woolen textiles established as separate company. (Liquidated in 2007 due to merger)
    1969 Sales of "MILLIONTEX-Z"-a new brand developed through new technologies in woolen textile production-began.
    1970Clothing specialty store Barkeley Co. Ltd. established.
    1979Established Brooks Brothers Japan, a men's apparel specialty store, as a joint venture with the US-based Brooks Brothers.
    1980Merged with New Yorker Inc. and further advanced into the clothing industry.
    1989Changed trade name from Daido Woosted Mills, Ltd. to DAIDOH LIMITED.
    1993DAIDOH LIMITED (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD.established in Shanghai, China.
    Established Daidoh Australia Pty., Ltd. (sheep farm). (Disbanded in 2019)
    Development of idle land at the Odawara Factory commences.
    1996Shanghai Doho Wool & Textile Co. Ltd. began operations. Odawara Factory was closed.
    1999Clothing business begins through the business category SPA (Specialty store retailer of Private label Apparel).
    Knitting yarn sales discontinued. Absorbed Hampton Co., Ltd. (textile manufacturing and sales) and Unibel Co., Ltd. (textile manufacturing and sales) through a merger.
    2000Shopping center "Dynacity" opened at the location of the former Odawara Factory.
    2001DAIDOH LIMITED (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. Maanshan Sub-branch and DAIDOH JARDIN (MAANSHAN) CO., LTD. established in Maanshan City, Anhui Province, China. DAIDOH LIMITED CLOTHING (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. established in Songjiang export processing zone, Shanghai.
    2002Inazawa factory was closed.
    DAIDOH LIMITED DYEING AND FINISHING (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. established in the industrial district of Songjiang, Shanghai.
    Men's New Yorker Co. Ltd. and Ladies' New Yorker Co. Ltd. established. Textile division absorbed into Milliontex Co. Ltd.
    Acquires all shares of Jardin Co. Ltd. Jardin becomes a consolidated subsidiary.
    2003Establishes SHANGHAI NEW YORKER CLOTHING SALES CO., LTD. in Shanghai. (Transferred all shares in 2025)
    Acquires 49% of Liberty Japan Co. Ltd. stocks. Liberty becomes an affiliate accounted for by the equity method. (Sold in 2007)
    Establishes Daidoh Trading Co. Ltd.
    2004Establishes Gieves & Hawkes Japan Limited. (Dissolved in 2007)
    Daidoh (SHANGHAI) Management Co., Ltd., established as regional headquarters for China.
    PUPPY (SHANGHAI) YARN HAND-KNIT CO., LTD. established as sales company for hand-knitted apparel in China.
    2005BEIJING NEWYORKER CLOTHING SALES CO., LTD. established as sales company for ready-made clothes in China.
    2006Began operations as the Men's Clothing Division and Ladies' Clothing Division, after Mens New Yorker Co., Ltd. and Ladies New Yorker Co., Ltd. were absorbed and merged into NEWYOKER LTD. (Dissolved due to 2018 integration)
    Puppy Co., Ltd. absorbed into Jardin Co., Ltd., and the company name changed to PUPPY JARDIN CO., Ltd.
    2007DAIDOH INTERNATIONAL LTD. established as a result of a merger between Milliontex Co. Ltd. and Daidoh Trading Co., Ltd. (Dissolved due to 2018 integration)
    Onward Kashiyama Co., Ltd., (Currently, Onward Holdings Co., Ltd.) becomes affiliate accounted for by the equity method. (Excluded from application of the equity method in 2019)
    2010Establishes DAIDOH LIMITED (CHINA) HOLDINGS CO., Ltd.
    2011PUPPY (SHANGHAI) YARN HAND-KNIT CO., LTD. changed its name to DAIDOH LIMITED INTERNATIONAL (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD.
    2012DAIDOH (SHANGHAI) MANAGEMENT CO., LTD. absorbed into DAIDOH LIMITED (CHINA) HOLDINGS CO., LTD.
    2016 Ceased operations at the Songjiang Factory of DAIDOH LIMITED (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. (Liquidated in 2020)
    Acquired shares of Pontetorto S.p.A. in Italy and made it a consolidated subsidiary.
    2018 NEWYORKER LTD., DYNACITY LTD., and DAIDOH INTERNATIONAL LTD. merge to become DAIDOH FORWARD LTD., with the former companies beginning operations as the NEWYORKER div., the DYNACITY div. and the TRADING div. respectively.
    2020 Ceased operations at the knit product factory of DAIDOH JARDIN (MAANSHAN) CO., LTD.
    2021 Acquired additional shares of Brooks Brothers (Japan), Ltd. and made it a consolidated subsidiary from an affiliate accounted for by the equity method.
    2025 Acquired shares of Japan Blue Co., Ltd. and made it a consolidated subsidiary.
